Three weeks into the season, things haven’t gone according to plan for the Florida Gators.

First, nine players were suspended for their role in a misuse of school funds case. Then, following a Week 1 loss to Michigan, the Gators were forced into a bad situation as Hurricane Irma hit the state and caused them to have to cancel their Week 2 game against Northern Colorado.

Yes, the Gators managed to beat Tennessee in dramatic fashion last week, but coach Jim McElwain still isn’t happy with where his team is at.

In fact, he said on Wednesday that he’s still waiting to see if any leaders will emerge in the locker room:

Heading into a big SEC East game at Kentucky on Saturday night, the Gators will need some leaders to emerge soon, or they face losing their first game to the Wildcats in 30 years.

See what happens with the Gators as they take on the Wildcats on Saturday night at 7:30 p.m. Eastern time on the SEC Network.
