Malik Zaire may not have played very long in the Southeastern Conference but there’s a good chance he will get to continue covering the league in the season to come.

That’s because the former Notre Dame and Florida quarterback has been hired by CBS Sports as a college football analyst, according to the Big Lead. Zaire has confirmed the news on his Twitter account.

Zaire started his collegiate career at Notre Dame, where he played for three seasons before becoming a graduate transfer at Florida. During his playing career, Zaire threw for 1,165 yards with six touchdowns and only one interception. He was once the starter at Notre Dame but lost his job to DeShone Kizer after getting hurt.

The signal-caller was projected to be Florida’s starting quarterback his senior season but he lost his job to Feleipe Franks early in the season before returning to the field late in his final collegiate season.
