Lakeland has been very good to Florida in recent months as the area has produced signatures from 2019 recruits Lloyd Summerall, Keon Zipperer and Deyavie Hammond and the Gators just landed another potential signee from the area in Morven Joseph.

The 6-foot-3, 210-pound Lakeland native plays for Lake Gibson High School and is coming off a season in which he racked up 62 tackles, 18.5 tackles for loss, 8.5 sacks and forced four fumbles. Two weeks removed from attending a camp in Gainesville, Joseph has decided to commit to Dan Mullen’s program, giving the Gators eight pledges in the 2020 recruiting cycle.

Joseph is currently rated as a three-star prospect by 247Sports Composite Rankings and the No. 18 weakside defensive end in the nation. In addition to having a scholarship offer from Florida, Joseph has been offered by Georgia, Florida State, Texas A&M, Arkansas and Kentucky.

He announced his commitment to Florida with the following message on Twitter:
