Nation's top recruit Kayvon Thibodeaux unable to visit Florida this weekend
Florida’s push to land the nation’s top recruit suffered a blow Friday.
Kayvon Thibodeaux, a 5-star recruit out of Thousand Oaks, California, will no longer be able to make his scheduled recruiting trip to Gainesville after his high school team’s game was postponed to Saturday. Oaks Christian’s Friday game against JSerra was rescheduled due to wildfires in the Los Angeles area.
Oaks Christian DE Kayvon Thibodeaux was scheduled to be in Florida on Saturday on a recruiting trip. He’s now got a game to play at JSerra.

The Gators are vying with fellow SEC teams Alabama and LSU, along with Florida State and Oregon, for Thibodeaux’s services. The 6-foot-4, 239-pound defensive end would be the first 5-star commitment for first-year Florida coach Dan Mullen.
The Gators host South Carolina on Saturday for their final SEC game of the year, which would have been a great atmosphere to pitch to Thibodeaux. Florida has one home game remaining, which is next Saturday against FCS Idaho.
