Can Tim Tebow really make it work as a tight end in the NFL?

Even Urban Meyer is willing to admit it won’t be easy for the former quarterback.

During a recent appearance on “The Rich Eisen Show,” the first-year NFL coach offered up these comments when asked about Tebow being signed by the Jaguars.

“What’s the percentage of making the team? We don’t know. This is uncharted water, this is gonna be very difficult. But he’s been doing great,” Meyer said. “He’s been doing great in practice, he’s learning the offense as you can imagine. He’s working as hard as anybody. I see a good camaraderie amongst the team and Tim, and it’s been good so far.”

Eisen then asked Meyer what exactly Tebow brings to the Jaguars in regards to building up the team’s culture.

“Well, he’s certainly lived it,” Meyer answered. “He’s a guy that’s as hard-working, as tough a human being as I’ve ever been around, as competitive. But the cool thing is, Rich, I’m finding a lot of that around here.”

The Jaguars currently have a roster with 90 players on the team but that number will eventually be trimmed down to 53.
