Back in 2017, several Florida players were suspended amid an investigation into alleged credit-card fraud.

One of those players was OL Kadeem Telfort, who was committed to play at UAB this fall after leaving the Gators in the aftermath of the charges.

Now, according to Gainesville.com, Telfort and several Florida State students were named in a federal bank fraud indictment on Tuesday, dating back to 2017:

The indictment alleges that Telfort and the others, who were students in the FSU Center for Academic Retention and Enhancement, conspired to defraud banks between July 1 and Oct. 31, 2017.

Those dates overlap with a UF investigation that resulted in criminal charges against Telfort and several other football players.

The cases are not related but the activity alleged is similar.

Telfort served 2 years probation after the incident at Florida, and that probation ended in February. We’ll see what comes of these new charges.
