Tim Tebow is just like every other college football fan this time of year. With the doldrums of the summer in full effect, Tebow is left simply looking forward to what might become of the football season in the fall.

On Saturday, he made a surprise appearance on ESPN’s “SportsCenter” to discuss his excitement and preparation for the upcoming season. Tebow was also asked about which aspect of the new season he is most excited about.

While conference realignment and the addition of Texas and Oklahoma to the SEC has Tebow’s attention, he’s most excited about the expanded format for the College Football Playoff. More specifically, he cannot wait for home Playoff games in the new 2024 season.

“Oh my goodness, where do we start? Obviously, Oklahoma and Texas (joining the SEC) is super exciting, but I’m going to go bigger picture. I’m going to go the change of the College Football Playoff,” said Tebow. “Like what we are talking about? 12 teams, and I think the thing I’m most excited about is the home Playoff games. Are you kidding me? for the first time ever we have home Playoff games in college football.

“Can you imagine if that’s in one of the Death Valleys? If that’s in the Swamp or a Doak Campbell Stadium or Texas or Oklahoma. It’s going to be ridiculous. Rivalries are going to be ridiculous but now a home Playoff game? C’mon, that’s just silly. I’m getting hype 6 weeks away just thinking about it.”

The 2024 season will be a landmark one in the history of college sports. While many fans have been clamoring for a larger Playoff, it is truly hard to predict everything that could go down when things kick off.

According to FanDuel, the 12 teams with the best odds to reach the CFP are Ohio State, Georgia, Oregon, Texas, Notre Dame, Penn State, Ole Miss, Alabama, Michigan, LSU, Florida State and Tennessee. To no surprise, those odds are dominated by teams from the new-look SEC and Big Ten, and Georgia at +300 is FanDuel‘s current favorite to win the national title.
