It has been expected for quite some time, but it appears as though we can now make it official.

Vernon Hargreaves III will forgo his senior season and enter the NFL Draft, according to a Tweet from ESPN’s Joe Schad.

The talented cornerback received All-America honors from several outlets for his play this season, and is considered to be a first-round talent.

Though how high he will go in the NFL Draft is up for debate after a less than stellar finish to the season, which sometimes called for analysts to wonder if his counterpart Jalen Tabor might not have been the better cornerback on the field for the Gators at times.

At any rate, it is the end of a memorable career with the Gators and he’ll go down as one of the best defensive backs of this era of college football.
