Georgia reached several years into the future to land its latest commitment when it received a pledge from Treyaun Webb of Jacksonville, Florida.

Webb, who is listed at 6 feet and 188 pounds, is an athlete from Trinity Christian Academy, and committed to Georgia on Tuesday morning after he received a reported eight offers, according to 247Sports.

“I have prayed and took a lot into consideration,” Webb said in his announcement on Twitter. “And I’ve decided to find a home early, and I am blessed to say I have found one.”

The ninth grader is the first commitment for Georgia, and he did it despite becoming emotional when he received an offer from Florida, the same school where his older cousin, defensive back Dee Webb once played, before he was drafted by the Jacksonville Jaguars, according to DuvalSports.com.

Webb tweeted that he visited Georgia during the Missouri game.
