If you missed the news, Jake Fromm’s hands measured in at 8-7/8 inches during the measurement portion of the 2020 NFL Combine.

It’s unclear why that’s an issue for some, Fromm never had an issue with fumbles or holding on to the ball during his college career in Athens, but several outlets ran with the news and noted that Fromm’s hands could be too small for him to have success at the game’s highest level.

During the interview portion of the 2020 NFL Combine on Tuesday, the former standout Georgia signal-caller was asked to address the concerns regarding the size of his hands.

Fromm could not have answered this one any better.

“It’s an eighth of an inch away from being the desired nine inches, no big deal,” Fromm noted. “The same hands that went to three SEC Championships, Rose Bowl, National Championship and some Sugar Bowls. I think it’s played plenty of football and done well enough so far.”

Fromm could have also mentioned he started as a true freshman in the nation’s toughest conference, completed 63.3 percent of his passes, threw for 8,236 yards with 78 touchdowns and only 18 interceptions in three seasons. But he didn’t, so we did for him.

For those that actually have seen him play, the size of his hands shouldn’t be an issue.
