Playing in steady rain early in the Texas A&M-Georgia game, QB Jake Fromm struggled with accuracy. Fromm misfired on several throws and even used a glove at times.

But he appeared to shake off those struggles on a scoring drive where he ultimately found George Pickens on third down for a touchdown. Fromm was 3-for-4 passing for 65 yds and TD on that drive.

Although, on replay, it showed Pickens yanked the facemask of Debione Renfro, who turned immediately after Pickens’ 16-yard touchdown to complain to the officials. The play wasn’t flagged, but Gary Danielson mentioned it on the CBS Sports broadcast.

Overall, Fromm was 4-for-13 passing for 72 yards with less than four minutes remaining in the first half. Much of that came on the scoring drive, as he connected with Pickens on the first and last plays, Kearis Jackson and Tyler Simmons. The passes to Jackson and Simmons were each more than 20 yards and thrown to the sideline.

On the strength of its stellar defense, Georgia appears to be doing just enough on offense with a pair of early field goals to go with the touchdown for a 13-3 lead.
