The Philadelphia Eagles’ controversial “tush push” at the goal line is working wonders for players like quarterback Jalen Hurts.

For other Philly players, including tailback D’Andre Swift, the opportunity falls short at the goal line. Swift has 988 yards rushing and 5 touchdowns so far this season, but is regularly tackled at the 1-yard line when the Eagles factor the former Georgia star into the “tush push” play.

Jason Kelce, Philly’s star center, recently sympathized with Swift on his New Heights podcast on his teammate missing out on TDs.

“Every time D’Andre Swift gets tackled at the (1-yard line), I just look at him in huddle and say ‘I’m so sorry man.’ You know what we’re about to do,” Jason Kelce said, referring to the “tush push.”

The Eagles’ infamous goal-line play has many calling for the league to ban it, while others joke about the process of it.

“You just gotta eat it man,” Kansas City star tight end Travis Kelce said on New Heights, noting the near perfection of the play.

Jason Kelce jokingly said on his podcast that Swift should take a different approach when trying to score off the “tush push.”

“Swift, news flash, go down at the 2-yard line and then get in the end zone,” Jason Kelce said. “Don’t go down at the (1-yard line). It is 100% the next play we’re running.”
