Kirby Smart and the Bulldogs are preparing for The World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party against Florida following this week’s bye.

Given Tennessee’s recent success and Florida’s woes this season, people are already looking toward Georgia’s matchup with the Vols that will seemingly decide the SEC East.

However, just because Georgia’s matchup with the Gators won’t be the decider in the East, Smart is not taking it lightly.

“It’s the Georgia-Florida matchup. I don’t think you have to worry about that.” Smart said.

Though the game has traditionally been played in Jacksonville, there has been some talk of moving the game away from the neutral sight and into a home-and-home series. Smart is in favor of a home-and-home series because he wants to be able to do more with recruiting because NCAA rules are more restrictive toward recruiting during neutral site games versus at home.

About the location of the game, Smart said Tuesday that there are merits to both locations, and he understands that money is a factor to the game remaining in Jacksonville.

Either way, the game is in Jacksonville for now, and the Bulldogs must not get too far ahead of themselves and take things one game at a time.

The bye heading into the matchup will benefit Georgia greatly as they battle a few injuries. Linebacker Smael Mondon (ankle) and defensive tackle Jalen Carter (knee) are both moving more, but receiver AD Mitchell (ankle) is still sitting out of drills. Running back Kendall Milton (groin) and receiver Ladd McConkley (toe) are being rested.
