Nick Sirianni and the Philadelphia Eagles have the look of a team that can win the Super Bowl, and they got off on the right track in a 22-10 victory against the Green Bay Packers in the Wild Card round of the NFC playoffs.

A big reason why the Eagles won was because of a strong performance by the defense. The unit forced the Packers into 3 turnovers, and made life tough for Jordan Love the entire night. One of the stars of the night was former Georgia linebacker Nolan Smith, who finished with 8 tackles, 2 TFLs and 2 sacks.

Sirianni gave a game ball to his linebacker, and raved about his performance on Monday.

“I gave him a game ball because I love Nolan Smith,” Sirianni told reporters on Monday. “My sons aren’t going to play defense because they don’t have the genes to, but I want my 2 sons to play football like Nolan Smith. Before my kids play any sport, I say ‘Have fun, play hard and be physical’. That guy is the definition of those things. He has fun out there, has fun with his teammates and his teammates love him. He plays as hard as I have ever seen anyone play, and he is physical.”

The Eagles are now in the divisional round of the NFC playoffs, where they await the winner of the Minnesota Vikings and Los Angeles Rams game.
