Report: Georgia freshman DB Richard LeCounte III working with first-team defense

The Georgia Bulldogs suffered a major loss earlier this week when starting CB Malkom Parrish injured his foot.
Now, though, a freshman is reportedly making a name for himself at a different position in the secondary. During Saturday’s scrimmage, 5-star signee Richard LeCounte III was working with the starters, according to a 247Sports report.
Aaron Davis and Deandre Baker were working as the first-team corners, with LeCounte and Dominick Sanders starting at safety.
As a 5-star player, it’s not surprising that LeCounte has made his way up the depth chart. He was rated by 247Sports as the No. 2 overall safety in the class of 2018 and the No. 3 recruit from the state of Georgia.
Whether or not LeCounte starts the season as a first-team safety remains to be seen, but it seems as if the Bulldogs have a rising star in the talented freshman.
