Tennessee may have just started a game of musical chairs among offensive coordinators in the SEC East. With Jim Chaney leaving his position as Georgia offensive coordinator for the same position at UT, UGA could replace Chaney with another offensive coordinator in the division.

SB Nation senior writer Steven Godfrey tweeted Wednesday that Kentucky offensive coordinator Eddie Gran is a “name to watch at Georgia.” Similar to Chaney, Gran has plenty of familiarity with the SEC and experience as offensive coordinator.

From 1995-2009, Gran was a special teams and running backs coach at Ole Miss (1995-98), Auburn (1999-2008) and Tennessee (2009). He has since been an offensive coordinator at Florida State (2010-12), Cincinnati (2013-15) and Kentucky (2016-present). As Godfrey notes, Gran is also highly regarded as a recruiter of the South Florida hotbed of talent.
