Tate Ratledge is expected to suit up against Texas in Week 8, according to a report.
Ratledge, a key offensive lineman for the Bulldogs, has been out for several weeks. Per 247Sports’ Matt Zenitz, he could suit up on Saturday for the first time since suffering an ankle injury against Kentucky.
However, Ratledge would likely only be available to play in an “emergency situation,” per the report from Zenitz:

Ratledge is a key member of Georgia’s offensive line when healthy. Ratledge was a preseason first-team all-SEC selection prior to the start of the 2024 campaign. He was one of just five Bulldogs to earn that honor going into the season.
Georgia’s rushing offense has suffered a bit with Ratledge out of the lineup. The Bulldogs are averaging just 3.84 yards per carry this season against SEC teams, which ranks 8th in the league.
Ratledge is listed as questionable on the SEC’s official availability report, which was last updated on Thursday night. Another updated is slated to be announced on Friday evening.
Georgia is hoping to avoid picking up its second loss of the season on Saturday against Texas. The Longhorns, meanwhile, enter Week 8 as the only undefeated team remaining in the SEC.
Kickoff from Austin is set for 7:30 p.m. ET on Saturday night.
