Terry Godwin wins Shrine Game MVP award after snagging both East touchdowns
Georgia WR Terry Godwin got to show his skills in the East-West Shrine Game on Saturday, and he made the most of his opportunity.
Godwin, playing for the East team, snagged a pair of touchdowns as part of a four-catch, 80-yard day.
As you can see below (along with his catches), Godwin was named the game’s offensive MVP for his efforts in the 21-17 loss to the West squad:
#Georgia WR Terry Godwin II waited his turn in college behind a line of future @NFL stars. He turned down an MLB contract that would’ve helped his family b/c he believed in his football dream. And after a 2TD day at #EastWestShrineGame, he couldn’t stop smiling. #futurestar pic.twitter.com/DGkFKMW1yV

Purdue QB David Blough threw both of Godwin’s touchdowns, and had a big day himself. Godwin clearly caught the eyes of NFL scouts in the game, and we’ll see how it affects his draft stock moving forward.
