Tyrique Stevenson’s injury in the 2019 SEC Championship Game looked bad, but thankfully, the freshman defensive back is going to be just fine.

Stevenson had to be carted off the field and CBS reported that Georgia’s freshman defensive back was audibly heard screaming as he was taken off the field but the Miami native said after the game that he should be good to go for Georgia’s upcoming bowl game.

One Georgia’s most promising true freshmen players on the roster, Stevenson looks to be one of the centerpieces of Kirby Smart’s secondary moving forward. Taking that into consideration, it was tough to see the young player be carted off the field.

As Stevenson explained in the video below, he had bad cramps after failing to properly hydrate leading up to the SEC title game.
