Kansas doing Kansas things: Jayhawks QB has embarrassing unforced fumble

Kansas is a bad football team. Entering Saturday night’s game against Iowa State, the Jayhawks were 1-3.

Their 1 win? A 3-point home win over FCS foe South Dakota. Yeah, not great.

Well, things aren’t going well for the Jayhawks against the Cyclones, either. At the end of the first quarter, Iowa State holds a massive 28-0 lead.

And, as you can see below, the Jayhawks aren’t helping themselves. Early in the first quarter, QB Jason Bean scrambled outside the pocket with a lot of green in front of him. Then, the ball hit off his thigh and he fumbled it without even being touched:

The Cyclones recovered and went on to score a touchdown. And, as mentioned earlier, the rout is already on through the first 15 minutes.

We’ll see if the Jayhawks can at least hold onto the ball a little better moving forward.
