Chris Livingston joined Kentucky as a 5-star prospect in the 2022 recruiting class. After starting 26 games as a true freshman for the Wildcats, Livingston announced his future plans on Wednesday.

In an announcement on Instagram, Livingston declared his intentions to enter the 2023 NBA Draft. He did not initially specify if he will retain his college eligibility in the process.

“UK Family, basketball means everything to me, and it was a dream of mine to be a part of an incredible basketball program like the University of Kentucky,” wrote Livingston. “Thank you to Big Blue Nation, my teammates and all the coaches and staff for your support…

“With that being said, I’m declaring for the 2023 NBA Draft. It’s only up from here.”

After joining the program as the No. 12 player in the country for the class of 2022, Livingston appeared in 34 games (26 starts) while averaging 6.3 points and 4.2 rebounds and shooting 43% from the field and 31% from 3-point range. He had 11 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 steal during an NCAA Tournament loss to Kansas State.
