College basketball insider explains what might be causing delay in NCAA ruling on Olivier Sarr

As more and more players have their NCAA eligibility waivers decided on, Kentucky is still (not-so-patiently) waiting for a pair of high-profile rulings.
On the gridiron, there’s QB Joey Gatewood — a transfer from Auburn who is awaiting his fate. On the men’s basketball team, there’s Wake Forest transfer big man Olivier Sarr, who has been waiting for months.
What’s the hold up with Sarr’s case? Per college basketball insider Adam Zagoria, an NCAA source says there could be a delay in the production of important documents:
NCAA source on Sarr: ‘Delays are typically due to a lack of timely document production. Often we ask and the reply is slow in being sent. May be the issue here.’ https://t.co/ItA8lzEKNc

That won’t make Wildcats fans feel any better, but at least it offers a little glimpse of what might be causing the delay.
Sarr has a chance to be a huge piece for the Wildcats this season. If he can’t play, coach John Calipari and his staff will have to do some major scrambling to replace him in the post.
