The Kentucky Wildcats haven’t been the same team that looked like a No. 1 seed since big man Reid Travis went down with a knee injury against Mizzou.

Originally, it was expected that he’d be ready for the SEC Tournament, but now that might not be the case.

On coach John Calipari’s radio show on Monday evening, he said that “if” Travis plays in Nashville this week, it won’t be as a starter:

Not committing to Travis playing is a worrisome sign, and if he’s not healthy, it will hurt the Wildcats not only on the court, but in the NCAA tourney seeding process as well.

Still, Travis has until Friday to get ready, so we’ll see if anything changes over the next couple of days regarding his status.
