Lonnie Johnson Jr., former Kentucky star, traded to new NFL team
Lonnie Johnson Jr. was a second-round pick of the Houston Texans in the 2019 NFL Draft.
The former Kentucky cornerback was a key player for the Texans’ defense the past 3 years, but now he’s on the move.
Per a tweet from the Kansas City Chiefs, a trade has been finalized sending Johnson from Houston to KC:

Johnson took to Twitter to share his excitement for joining a new squad:

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport tweeted that the Texans were receiving a conditional 2024 seventh-round pick in return for Johnson:
