With 24 commitments in house and only a few targets remaining, Kentucky is already well into working on their 2017 recruiting class and received an eighth commitment over the weekend from Ohio RB Bryant Koback to continue to build that group. Ranked 30th nationally, the 2016 class is another solid one for Mark Stoops, but he’ll need to get the Wildcats to a bowl game this season or things could get a little hairy around Lexington.

Here’s a review of Kentucky’s signing class with less than three weeks remaining before signing day and a few predictions on where the Wildcats could end up in February. We use 247Sports composite team and player rankings:

SIGNING DAY PREDICTIONS

Kentucky takes the strategy of identifying interested targets very early, getting them committed early and building chemistry within the class so they can focus on the next class after November. Marshall, a former Tennessee commit, would be a nice piece to close out the class with. Smith, who recently decommitted from North Carolina, is a new offer and another late commit possibility. Rankings-wise they will end up right around 30th, which should make Wildcats football fans happy.
