LSU had an outstanding recruiting class in the 2016 cycle and 2017 is expected to be no different.

So with that, here are five 2017 prospects that every Tigers fan should know.

1. Dylan Moses, LB/RB, Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy

Moses, who LSU had committed for a couple of years, is a Baton Rouge native that the Tigers will attempt to lure back home. The 6-foot-2, 220-pounder is one of the best linebacker prospects in terms of elite lateral ability of the past 4-5 cycles. He has more than three dozen scholarship offers to his credit, is the No. 2 overall prospect in the 2017 cycle per 247Sports Composite rankings and LSU is battling Alabama and others for his services.

2. Marvin Wilson, DT, Houston (Texas) Bellaire

Wilson is the nation’s top-ranked defensive tackle prospect and rightfully so. The 6-foot-4, 315-pounder is exceptionally quick and athletic for his size and has advanced strength. Currently, LSU and USC, along with Texas, Texas A&M and Alabama, are considered the major players for the services of the U.S. Army All-American. If the Tigers can land Wilson to go along with the defensive tackle prospects they signed in the 2016 cycle, then the future is exceptionally bright along the defensive line’s interior — even more than it already is.

3. Todd Harris, S, Plaquemine (La.)

Harris, the fourth-ranked safety prospect nationally in the 2017 class per 247Sports Composite rankings, is a great athlete with excellent speed, size and ball skills. The in-state standout obviously is a major LSU target this cycle as the Tigers continue to be an embarrassment of riches in terms of personnel in the secondary. Harris has excellent instincts in both the run game and pass game and obliterates ball carriers in run support.

4. Austin Deculus, OT, Cypress (Texas) Cy-Fair

Deculus plays with a nasty streak, has above average footwork and could play either tackle position or on the interior of the offensive line at the collegiate level. LSU is thought to be the early team to beat here over a host of others. The 6-foot-6, 315-pounder is the No. 12 offensive tackle prospect nationally in the 2017 cycle per 247Sports Composite rankings.

5. Bruce Jordan-Swilling, OLB, New Orleans (La.) Brother Martin

Jordan-Swilling is a tremendous athlete and great all-around football player who best projects at linebacker in college. The 6-foot-2, 215-pounder has an extensive early offer list and is the son of former NFL linebacker Pat Swilling. Jordan-Swilling is ranked as the No. 4 overall prospect in the state of Louisiana and the seventh-ranked outside linebacker prospect nationally for the 2017 cycle per 247Sports Composite rankings. The Tigers are the early favorites over Alabama, Oklahoma, UCLA, Miami, Georgia Tech and others.
