Ed Orgeron may have gone from having the hottest seat in the SEC entering the season to having the coolest seat this side of Antarctica after leading his LSU program to a win over Auburn on The Plains.
If you missed it, LSU beat Auburn by a final score of 22-21 after Cole Tracy booting a 42-yard field goal to win the game in the closing seconds of the contest.
Here’s the kick if you didn’t catch it live:

Immediately after the game, Orgeron was asked about the final drive that put LSU’s offense in position to win the game.
“(Offensive coordinator) Steve Ensminger did a great job of calling the game,” he said. “We had to go down there and kick a field goal to win the game. Great job of clock management, great job by special teams and our defense. Big time team win.”
Orgeron on putting Tracy back in a position to kick after missing a kick earlier in the game.
“I felt good. He’s got ice in his veins,” Orgeron said. “I thought he was going to make the kick the whole time. I felt good about it.”
And finally, on his quarterback, Joe Burrow:
“Yeah, he’s a champion. I’m glad he’s our quarterback,” Orgeron said with a smile.
