Ed Orgeron desperately wants to see his team defend the national championship on the field next season.

The head of LSU’s football program is well aware of how much Tiger football means to Louisana and Baton Rouge and in a recent interview with FOX News, Orgeron shared his thoughts on how important playing college football will be to the local economy.

“As you know, Baton Rouge on a Saturday is hopping,” Orgeron shared. “There’s tailgating, the restaurants are full, the hotels are full, the economy is booming. So, it would be a big blow to not only our universities but the economy. I do believe we need football.”

Of course, he closed out his thoughts with a “Go Tigers!” to end the interview.
