LSU assistant coach Tommie Robinson reportedly interviews with Cleveland Browns
LSU’s staff shakeup may not be done just yet as this potential loss could be the biggest hit of the offseason to Ed Orgeron’s staff.
According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Media, LSU running back coach, assistant head coach and recruiting coordinator Tommie Robinson recently interviewed for the running backs coach position with the Cleveland Browns. Considering the Tigers are in the midst of multiple transitions on the offensive side of the ball, including coordinator, starting quarterback and the team’s top two leading rushers, losing Robinson would be a particularly tough pill to swallow at this time for the Tigers.
Here’s Rapoport’s tweet on the subject:
#LSU running backs coach/assistant HC Tommy Robinson just completed an interview with the #Browns for their RB position, source said. Would be an intriguing hire for Cleveland, big loss for the Tigers.

Robinson joined the LSU staff last offseason from USC. He was named Pac-12 Recruiter of the Year in 2016 after helping the Trojans win the Rose Bowl. He signed a three-year deal with LSU soon after Orgeron landed the job in Baton Rouge on a full-time basis.
