Joe Burrow delivers an all-time comeback when NFL reporter asks QB if he’s nervous about starting as rookie
Joe Burrow may be the one that’s new to the NFL but the reporter that asked the reigning Heisman Trophy winner a question recently was the one that came off as the inexperienced one.
During a recent press conference, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft was asked about his confidence level heading into his first season with the Bengals.
Here is a transcript of the exchange between Burrow and the reporter:
Joe Burrow: “Very confident. I feel very comfortable with the offense right now. I feel comfortable with my guys. I think we are going to be pretty good on offense. I’m excited more so than nervous.”
Reporter: “Does that emotion surprise you? That you aren’t nervous, I mean, it’s human nature, starting a new job like this.”
Joe Burrow: “Absolutely not. Have you ever heard anything else about me about being nervous?”
Clearly, the reporter didn’t keep up with Burrow’s time in Baton Rouge.
