Tyree Adams, a 6-foot-5 and 285-pound 4-star offensive tackle, has announced a commitment to play in the SEC.

Adams, who is from New Orleans (St. Augustine) committed to LSU, as he is ranked the No. 20 offensive tackle in the country, and No. 13 player in the state of Louisiana, according to the 247Sports Composite. He chose the Tigers over Florida, Georgia and Ole Miss.

Adams is commit No. 17 for Brian Kelly the Tigers in the 2023 class. He was recruited to Baton Rouge by Brad Davis and Frank Wilson. LSU is ranked No. 10 in the country and SEC with its 2023 class. Adams is the second offensive tackle recruit in this class, but the highest-rated.

“It’s the home team and they made me feel at home even though I wasn’t,” Adams told 247Sports. “I love every moment of LSU. They are going in the right direction and I trust in what Coach Kelly is doing!”

With this commitment, Kelly and his staff have made a strong statement toward their strategy for in-state recruiting as they now have 4 recruits from Louisiana in the fold for the class of 2023.
