Braylon Burnside. a 4-star prospect out of Starkville, Ms. has opted to stay home and play for Mississippi State, he announced on Wednesday at the Under Armour All-America game. MSU has confirmed he has already signed with the program.

Burnside decommitted from Mississippi State on Nov. 6 but ultimately chose new coach Jeff Lebby over Lane Kiffin’s Ole Miss program in an Egg Bowl recruiting war.

Burnside played for local Starkville High School. He was rated as the No. 13 overall athlete in the Class of 2024 via the 247Sports Composite.

Playing both ways in high school, Burnside posted back-to-back 1,000 yard receiving seasons to end his high school career. His background in track and field translates well to the field with his top-tier speed, and he has experience in playing at safety as well.

Burnside joins a Mississippi State recruiting class that ranks No. 34 overall with 24 total recruits. He becomes the 13th player from the state of Mississippi in the class, and is the first member with the ATH designation.
