In one of the more intriguing nonconference matchups of the 2016 season, Missisippi State will travel to BYU in October.

But you probably already knew that.

What you didn’t know is that the game has been scheduled to be played in primetime on Friday, Oct. 14, according to a statement released by Mississippi State on Monday.

The game will be aired on either ESPN or ESPN2, and the kickoff time will be determined at a later date.

It will be the Bulldogs’ first trip to Provo, Utah for a football game since the 2000 season.

BYU will make a return trip to Starkville in 2017.
