Mike Leach explains why Will Rogers didn't attend SEC Media Days
Mike Leach and the Mississippi State Bulldogs are in Atlanta for SEC Media Days on Tuesday, but one notable player isn’t with them.
The Bulldog players who made the trip to Atlanta were DT Jaden Crumedy, LB Nathaniel Watson and WR Austin Williams. QB Will Rogers wasn’t among the player contingent for Mississippi State.
Why did Leach make that decision? He explained that there will be plenty of time for media members to speak with Rogers later this season:
Here's Leach on why Will Rogers, who is getting some Heisman Trophy mention, is not here at SEC Media Days that could really boost him in that regard.

Leach: "People are going to come to Starkville, and they’re going to see Will and ask him a lot of questions. Will’s still going to get more questions this year than everybody else probably. You guys will have time to have your fun with him."

Leach rarely brings quarterbacks with him to Media Days, dating back to his time as the head coach at Texas Tech and continuing at Washington State and Mississippi State.
Rogers is still a big topic of discussion this week in Atlanta, so reporters are still getting their questions in, it seems.
