If you missed the Tuesday edition of SiriusXM program SEC This Morning, show co-host Peter Burns offered up his take on the order in which he would select SEC quarterbacks for the 2018 season.
Burns named seven quarterbacks, putting Auburn’s Jarrett Stidham first, Missouri’s Drew Lock second, Georgia’s Jake Fromm third, South Carolina’s Jake Bentley fourth, Tua Tagovailoa fifth, Jalen Hurts sixth and last but not least, Nick Fitzgerald seventh.
Here’s the tweet Burns posted on his selections:
Argument @mspears96 and I are having on #SECThisMorning right now.
If you are drafting SEC QB's for next season….what’s your list?
Mine:
1) Jarrett Stidham
2) Drew Lock
3) Jake Fromm
4) Jake Bentley
5) Tua
6) Jalen Hurts
7) Nick Fitzgerald@SIRIUSXM 374.— Peter Burns (@PeterBurnsESPN) March 13, 2018
Apparently, the list caught Fitzgerald’s eye.
After racking up over 4,400 yards through the air and over 2,400 yards on the ground with a combined 72 touchdowns during his collegiate career, Mississippi State’s quarterback got some amusement out of the list.
Here’s his response to Burns’ list:
