Osirus Mitchell was a standout wide receiver for the Mississippi State Bulldogs from 2016 to 2020, recording 1,413 receiving yards and 14 touchdowns during his career in Starkville.

He went undrafted in the 2021 NFL Draft, but signed on with the Dallas Cowboys as an undrafted free agent. In 2021, he was on the Cowboys’ practice squad before being released in December. He then went on to win the USFL championship as a member of the Birmingham Stallions.

Now, Mitchell is getting another NFL chance. Per a report on Tuesday morning, the Green Bay Packers are signing Mitchell to a 1-year deal:

Mitchell recorded 23 passes for 333 yards in 10 games for the Stallions in 2021 while helping the team win the first-ever USFL title.

With a receiving room overhaul in Green Bay, we’ll see if Mitchell can land a roster spot ahead of the 2022 season.
