Dylan Spencer will be a familiar face when he returns to Missouri.

The former Tigers lineman has reversed course after he briefly transferred to Jackson State, then quickly ended up back in the transfer portal, the program announced on social media. Spencer signed with the Tigers in the 2020 class, and appeared in 2 games as a true freshman, including starting at guard against Florida, before transferring to Jackson State.

Spencer did not play for Jackson State. He left the program and re-entered his name into the transfer portal on Sept. 13. Now, the Mississippi native is back in Missouri. Missouri’s online directory shows Spencer as enrolled, Power Mizzou reported.

Mizzou, like many other programs, has been busy with the transfer portal, and Spencer is the seventh addition to the roster through the portal since the end of the 2021 season. He’s the second offensive lineman, after former Buffalo center Bence Polgar.

Coming out of high school, Spencer, who was listed at 6-foot-4 and 300 pounds and a native of Madison, Mississippi, was rated a 3-star offensive line prospect by 247Sports.

Spencer is the 22nd total player to sign with Missouri in its 2022 recruiting class. The Tigers have one unsigned but committed player in 4-star offensive lineman Deshawn Woods.
