While shredding Tennessee’s depleted defense Saturday, Missouri freshman running Damarea Crockett back set a program record.

Crockett broke the school single-season freshman rushing record, and he’s currently at 1,057 yards this season. Brad Smith (2002-2005) held the previously record with 1,029 yards.

Crockett is gashing the Volunteers at a rate of 10 yards per carry with 220 yards on 22 rushes. The freshman has scored the opening touchdown of the game, though the Tigers currently trail 42-30 in the fourth quarter in Knoxville.
