Missouri received a verbal commitment from Hutchinson (Kan.) C.C. offensive tackle Jayven Richardson on Thursday.

The Tigers face off against Arkansas on Friday, seeking win No. 10 on the season. The coaching staff scored an early victory on Thanksgiving day, though. Richardson reported offers from Arkansas, Auburn, and Ole Miss, as well as Illinois, Kansas, Maryland, and NC State, among others.

The Tigers have made it through the season with a five-man unit dominating the snaps on the offensive line. Five guys have played more than 700 offensive snaps while no one else has seen more than 100. Two of those top five linemen are playing out their final seasons of eligibility this fall.

That gives the 6-foot-7, 305-pound Richardson — ranked as one of the top junior college linemen in the 2024 class — an opportunity to work his way into an immediate role with the Tigers.

According to the industry-generated 247 Composite, Richardson is the No. 17 overall JUCO prospect in the class and the No. 2 tackle. He played his high school ball for Gonzales (La.) East Ascension. Hutchinson lists him as a redshirt freshman.

Richardson becomes the 16th known commit for Missouri’s 2024 class. You can see his highlight tape below, via Hudl:
