Vanderbilt at Missouri opening point spread released
If you missed the big news from the Southeastern Conference on Monday evening, the already thin Arkansas team returned some positive COVID tests to start the week, which resulted in the Razorbacks’ upcoming trip to Missouri being postponed.
A makeup date for that game has yet to be determined.
With Arkansas unable to play this weekend, the league shifted the SEC schedule around and gave Missouri the opportunity to host Vanderbilt on Saturday.
That decision left Tennessee, which was set to travel to Vanderbilt, without a game this weekend. Now both Arkansas and Tennessee are idle this weekend.
So following all that shuffling, we have six games currently scheduled in the SEC but we didn’t have a point spread for the new matchup.
That quickly changed thanks to Las Vegas-based Circa Sports.
The sportsbook has listed Missouri as a 16-point favorite in the matchup.
Following the overhaul of the league schedule, here is a look at the current Week 10 spreads in the SEC as of Tuesday morning:
- Vanderbilt at Missouri (-16)
- Georgia (-21) at South Carolina
- Kentucky at Florida (-24)
- Auburn at Alabama (-24.5)
- LSU at Texas A&M (-14)
- Mississippi State at Ole Miss (-9.5)

Given how depleted Mizzou was last week, I wonder where Vandy currently stands with the Covid #s.
Vanderbilt is in its best shape for Covid negative, but they are running low on players at certain positions due to massive opt-outs and injuries. The Commodores are overdo for a major lemon game, and being psyched up about playing a dying Tennessee team and now having to play a morning game at Missouri, I expect the Tigers to get sweet revenge for last year.
Thanks. Both teams will come out hard, we’ll see how things shake out. You guys have been impressive this year.
LOL!
Most football fans are not capable of seeing past the wins and losses, but the scores of the Vanderbilt games 2020 show a team playing some impressive football
I believe that many coaches, at this point in the season, are just thinking about “next man up” and fielding teams…not wanting to cancel any more games if possible. Sure they have 2nd stringers playing & maybe a few 3rd stringers but they are playing.
You’re absolutely right. That’s exactly what is happening.
That spread is a bit much. Our D is legit, our O, not so much. Eli needs to get Knox more involved.
I agree, it seems the LSU game was the ceiling for this offense and not the floor. We’re not producing the explosive plays on a consistent basis. The exotic play-calling has slowed as well. Maybe the all the “in-season” attrition is the culprit. But regardless, the offense is two clicks from being a liability and not an asset.
The real point spread is zero. Not believing that is what has cost Missouri several losses to South Carolina, Kentucky, Kansas, Wyoming, Indiana, and Vanderbilt.
Mizzou caught a break. Arkansas would have kicked their butt. On the other side, all this talk about how bad Vandy is usually spells upset for Mizzou. Mizzou had a good season going last year, were considerably favored at Vandy and didn’t show up that game nor the rest of the year. Vandy winning in overtime would not surprise me.
Missouri leads the series over Arkansas 8 wins to 3 losses. Ouch!!!
I’m just going to guess a Missouri boy got your sister pregnant and left town. We were looking forward to seeing you guys again, we’ll just have to wait a couple of weeks.
ROFL! I want to know boottrolls prediction. He’s wrong nearly every time.
bootheelhog, Didn’t arkansas fans say “South Carolina was going to beat Missouri”? Also say “Arkansas will beat LSU”. I guess you and others just like to hope Missouri flopped and loses out and be bottom feeder of the SEC. Also Odom isn’t a good HC and that Florida game proved it. Florida scored 63 points!
You’re owning us for not showing up the rest of the year when we beat y’all by 10 in the finale at your place?
Granted, Arkansas is a competitive team this year, but this just isn’t a game we lose. The only time we’ve lost to y’all in league play our team just figured out our legendary coach had cancer and was retiring. That isn’t gonna happen again. We’ve won every other game including in years like 2016 where we had not business even being competitive let alone winning.
Mizzou owns Arky. You will never win.
At this point the spread is really riding on Baz health, if he can throw the ball near 100% the Tigers should easily put up 28 plus, if not it could get tight. The D will probably give up one TD it shouldn’t since they have been playing really well as of late.
I’m nervous about the Vandy game. First game all year where we are a significant favorite (I think we were slightly favored last week against SC, but everyone saw it as a tossup game really) and Vandy has been feisty for several games in a row now. If Mizzou’s offensive line isn’t any healthier than it’s been the last few weeks this is likely a competitive game.
I’ll take Mizzou to win but Vandy to cover. Something like 24-17.
Vandy has this game circled on their calendar. Beat Missouri or bust. Missouri will have to pry victory out of the jaws of a desperate Vandy.
