Mizzou AD Jim Sterk updates timeline for decision on Faurot Field capacity, mask policy
In the past weeks, we’ve seen officials like Texas governor Greg Abbott announcing how full pro and college stadiums are expected to be this fall.
In Missouri, Mizzou AD Jim Sterk is taking more of a wait-and-see approach to stadium capacity talk.
During a virtual conference with Kansas AD Jeff Long on Tuesday night, Sterk said he thinks waiting until early August to make a decision is the best course of action:
Sterk says he thinks #Mizzou can wait until early August before having to make a decision on how many fans can attend football games..

Sterk added that the Faurot Field mask policy hasn’t been decided on yet, either, but did say it’s likely to be required in indoor boxes:
Sterk says “Some people will want to wear masks. We don’t know whether we will require it or not.” Says it’s more likely to be required in indoor and premium seating areas.

It’s only mid-June right now, so Sterk waiting until August to make a decision on September games seems logical at this point. A lot can change with the COVID-19 pandemic between now and then.
