Pete Carroll and the Seattle Seahawks are entering the 2022 season with a quarterback battle on their hands.

Vying to replace Russell Wilson are former Mizzou QB Drew Lock and Geno Smith, with no one having been named the starter as things stand early in the preseason.

This week, Carroll praised Lock, saying the former Tiger has some “gunslinger” in him. He added that the process of choosing a starter is still ongoing:

In 3 professional seasons with the Denver Broncos, Lock has thrown for 4,740 yards, 25 touchdowns and 20 interceptions.

Can Lock win the starting job in his new city? We’ll see who takes the QB1 reps when the Seahawks take the field for Week 1.
