The Missouri Tigers lost offensive coordinator Josh Heupel to UCF this offseason, and brought in Derek Dooley to replace him.

Now, head coach Barry Odom has reportedly hired an offensive analyst to help Dooley out in his first season in Columbia, bringing in a coach with head-coaching experience.

According to PowerMizzou.com, the Tigers are in the process of hiring Garrick McGee, who has been Arkansas’s offensive coordinator and UAB’s head coach, among other positions:

Multiple sources have confirmed to PowerMizzou.com that Odom is in the process of hiring Garrick McGee as an offensive analyst. A source said that McGee will be on the staff, but the hiring process with the University is still ongoing.

Most recently, McGee was the offensive coordinator for Illinois, serving under coach Lovie Smith in 2016 and 2017.

McGee was 5-19 during his two-year stint as UAB’s head coach.
