The spring session hasn’t gotten off to the best start for the Missouri Tigers.

On Tuesday, it was reported that three players — DE Franklin Agbasimere, G Kevin Pendleton and C Samson Bailey — missed practice with varying degrees of injury:

Agbasimere will miss the rest of the spring session, but Pendleton and Bailey should both be back after some rest.

Pendleton, who will be a redshirt junior in 2017, started all 12 games last season and Bailey, also a rising redshirt junior, started nine games at center.

Abgasimere, a redshirt sophomore, was expected to compete for playing time along the defensive line this year after making just one tackle last season.

Barring further injuries, all three players should at least be ready to go for the summer.

  • The good news is no season killing injuries. These players can still be close enough to the action to make progress. If they are back for summer this will be fast.

    • Agreed, but considering Agbasimere is not only still learning the game, but also a new position, I hope missing spring practice doesn’t stunt his learning curve. Really looking forward to see how “Smash” can help TBJ and Frazier on the line in 2017

      • Linebacker=position of sharp vision and quick reaction or position of film study and recognition. Not a position of smash and dash. Your wish duly noted just the same. We will see. I doubt that he will miss much this spring. He will be watching every day at least.
