Missouri has emerged as a top team in the SEC through 7 games this season.

The Tigers have only lost one game so far, and they’ve picked up some big wins on the way like last week against South Carolina and Week 2 against Kansas State.

On Saturday on SEC Nation, Tim Tebow identified what has led to so much success from Missouri this season.

For Tebow, he believes it starts with the effort.

“To me, there’s 2 things that really stand out. No. 1 is their effort,” Tebow said. “Their effort from their starters, their d-line, their backups, everybody. When they come in they know their role. And they play so hard. I think sometimes that gets assumed, that everybody plays equally hard, and they don’t. But this team plays so hard.”

But effort alone doesn’t win games. Tebow also believes Missouri has played the game the right way this season, sticking to the fundamentals.

“I think the second thing is how much they buy into the fundamentals,” Tebow said. “Look at the way Brady Cook plays, not throwing an interception until the end of the game against LSU. They’re buying into the fundamentals, from their best player, to their guy that only comes in a couple of plays. This team is buying into everything Eli Drinkwitz is selling, and that’s why they’re having such success.”

Missouri is looking for another big win this weekend as it takes on South Carolina.
