There’s nothing quite like going back to the old stomping grounds for a weekend and taking in a football game on Saturday. Alumni love to see what changes are happening on campus and catch up with fellow friends in town. For many, this involves visiting a favorite watering hole or stopping by the old fraternity or sorority house and tailgating close to the stadium. This fall, Missouri will be allowing its fans the opportunity to go back to college – literally – and stay in a dorm on a game weekend.

According to Ashley Jost of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, fans will be able to stay in two-room, four-bed suite for $120 per night with an added cost for parking. Reservations must be made at least 48 hours prior. Jost notes that those renting a dorm room will have access to on campus cafeterias for fans looking an authentic college experience while at MU. Jost notes that Mizzou has not yet decided whether alcohol will be allowed in the rented dorms.

The dorm rentals for football games are seen as a way to offset some of the financial loss from declining enrollment over the past several years, including this fall.
