Alabama baseball evened the series against No. 6 Georgia earlier Sunday afternoon, riding a hot start on Saturday to win 9-3. After losing Game 1 19-3 on Friday, this bounce back was much-needed for the Tide’s hopes of hosting a regional when the regular season comes to a close.

And while Game 1 didn’t go too well for the Crimson Tide, Game 3 has started as well as it could have. Alabama is already up 4-2 thanks in part to a 2-run home run from Kade Snell.

The home run was Snell’s 10th on the season – he’s now the 4th Alabama batter to have reached 10 home runs on the year.

Will Hodo got things started for Alabama, belting an RBI single into left field. Jason Torres added to the lead in the bottom of the 2nd by blasting a solo home run to bring the score to 2-0.

Snell’s home run came just a few minutes later.

Georgia was able to fight back, adding 2 runs of their own to make it a 4-2 ballgame heading into the bottom of the 3rd inning. Let’s see if the Crimson Tide can add some more runs.
