Aden Holloway wants to return to the Alabama basketball team next season after his campus ban was reversed on Friday in the aftermath of his recent arrest on drug charges.

According to a report by ESPN’s Myron Medcalf on Friday afternoon, Holloway’s attorney, Jason Neff, said that the star guard “is planning to enroll in fall classes and hoping to rejoin the team next season pending the outcome of his legal case.”

Just as the Crimson Tide were preparing for the start of the NCAA Tournament, Holloway sent shockwaves through the program and the campus when he was arrested after a search warrant found 2.1 pounds of marijuana in his apartment. Holloway was subsequently suspended from Nate Oats’ program and was banned from the Alabama campus by school officials.

With that campus ban reversed on Friday after a hearing, according to Neff, Holloway is now allowed to attend classes in Tuscaloosa and can enroll in future courses. With that reported campus ban reversal, Holloway is now reportedly trying to position himself for a return to the Crimson Tide basketball team next season.

“Although it’s not Aden’s call to make, given the opportunity, his intent is to play basketball next year,” Neff said in Friday’s ESPN report.

Holloway was indicted on a Class C felony drug possession charge by a grand jury earlier this week. He was initially arrested and charged with felony drug possession as well as a failure to affix a tax stamp charge. The felony charges carry a maximum sentence of as many as 10 years in jail and a $15,000 fine.

When ESPN asked Alabama for a response to Friday’s report, a university spokesperson had no comment.

Alabama fell short of its goal of getting back to the Final Four for the second time in 3 years, but there are 4 teams right now that are in Indianapolis with national title dreams fully intact. Here is what the Kalshi market is currently seeing about the odds for this elite quartet to be the team cutting down the nets on Monday night:
