The 2025-26 college basketball season has come to a close, and the Michigan Wolverines stand alone at the top of the mountain.
On Tuesday, the Associated Press revealed its Top 25 rankings for the final time this season. Six SEC teams were included among the final top 25: Florida, Tennessee, Arkansas, Alabama, Vanderbilt and Texas.
Kentucky, Texas A&M and Auburn all received at least one top 25 vote, too.
Florida is the highest-ranked SEC team at the end of the season, finishing inside the top 10 at No. 9. Despite falling to Iowa early, the Gators’ regular season impressed the voters enough to outlast No. 12 Tennessee, which advanced further in the NCAA Tournament than any other conference team.
