Georgia basketball is set to lose its 5th player to the transfer portal when it opens tomorrow, April 7. According to a report from Joe Tipton, Bulldogs guard Jordan Ross intends to enter the portal.

Ross joins standout center Somto Cyril, Jeremiah Wilkinson, Jackson McVey and Dylan James as Bulldogs to announce their intent to enter the portal. The former Saint Mary’s guard will play for his 3rd school in 3 years next season.

As you can see above, Ross averaged 6.7 points, 2.5 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game. He started 25 games for the Bulldogs and had a great start to the season before fizzling out in conference play. More than anything, he really struggled to score against the athleticism of SEC defenders. Ross was one of the more inefficient guards on Georgia’s roster, sitting at 42% from the field and 31% from range.

While Georgia is set to lose 5 players to the portal already, it’s not all bad news for Mike White’s squad. Smurf Millender has already announced that he will be returning to Athens next season, as has promising freshman Kareem Stagg. Of course, there’ll be a lot of transfer portal movement to cover across the next few months.
